Morphologie
Under the known lizards familys  there are only two venomous, they live only in North and Middleamerika.

Heloderma suspectum cinctum lives in northwest Arizona, southeast Calfornien, south Nevada, southwest Utah. Heloderma suspectum suspectum lives in south Arizona, southeast New Mexiko  and northwest Mexiko. They lives only in dry, stoney desert areas. They live offen close to dry up washes or riverbeds where in the rainy seasons (July and August) the water runs trough. The dig holes or dens or make there homes under rock out croppings.
Heloderma horridum horridum, Heloderma horridum alvarezi and Heloderma horridum exasperatum habitats are in the dry forest areas of western mexiko. They Make there homes in rocky, and or bush covered aeras near dry riverbeds. The dig there burrows in the rockier ground or amang the roots of trees or large bushes. In the more wooded aeras they will climb in the branches, ypu won’t notice them execpt when you come to clase. Then they will make a loud hissing sound. Especially in the rainy seasons you can find the larger  Heloderma horridum horridum in the branches above the ground.
Heloderma horridum charlsbogerti live only in the tropical drywoodland aeras in Guatemalas and is the least know off all the under speices.
The Heloderma suspectum will grow up to  65 cm  and appear to be plump, the tail looks swollen, Round and Short with a round stubby end. The Heloderma  horridum horidum will grow up to 90 cm they have a long round tail, and appear to have a thinner body.
Both Lizards have wide flat heads, an round bodys, they have short strong legs and small eye and ear openings. The skin has a beadwork like appearance made up of invidual rounded, raised scales. Inside the scales are small boney plates. There is exensive variations in the skin coloring, a more or less reticulated pattern of black and brown light yellow to red colorations depending on the invidual lizards on the tail is from 4 to 7 stripes.

Heloderma horridum alverezi is almost all one dark color. Where as all the other have the light an dark colorations. The Helodermas are night active and live in burrows. In Arizona (USA) the Heloderma suspectum have been observed though out the whole year (According to the temperature) To be Active close to there holes. The males will travel farther away in April to mid may in search of a Partner, from July - August the lizards will be found hunting. In extreme hot summers they stay in there holes and live off the fat reserves in the tails.
The Heloderm eat, bird eggs, young birds, rats, mouse, and also dead animals. It has also been reported that will eat liveing or dead Reptiles and there eggs.
